Dead Sea Black Mineral Mud is comprised of layer upon layer of sedimentary clay formed over thousands of years.  This mud containing Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Bromides and Sulfates as well as trace elements of Lithium, Strontium, Iodine, Selenium, Chromium and Zinc is known to be beneficial in the cleansing and Revitalizing of the skin.  

Many claim Dead Sea Black Mineral Mud's high concentration of trace and essential elements improve circulation, help the immune system, reduce muscle tension and joint pains.  I make no claims of these benefits.  I do know that Dead Sea mud soap makes me feel refreshed and clean.

Mineral Mud does have a drying effect (think of how tight and tingly your skin feels after a mud mask). For this reason I have formulated this soap with extra moistuizing oils, such as Olive, Canola and Cocoa butter.  Due to the high percentage of Dead Sea mud used (7%),  I would recommend following with a nice moisturizer.
